CV and more
I currently work as a Webmaster for Dartford Borough Council in Kent, Great Britain. I am also the managing director of Alf Design Studio, a small web design and consultancy agency which I have founded together with my beautiful and talented wife Flori.
Before moving to the island, I was a Lecturer in Online and Radio Journalism at A.I.Cuza University in Iasi, Romania. I am proud of my students and I know they have good memories of our classes. The Journalism and Communication Science Department and Nord Est FM Radio are two places where I spent a lot of my time.
Between 2002 and 2005 I was also Content Coordinator for Romania Development Gateway, the web portal developed and managed by eRomania Gateway Association. I managed the portal and I was involved in other related projects such as European Journalist , RoDG Market and RedBook Online.
Also back in Romania I used to develop websites (that Flori designed under the Alf Design name) for public organizations and local businesses.
I received an MA in Public Communications from Fordham University in 1999 on a Fulbright scholarship and also a postgraduate degree in Journalism from A. I. Cuza University Iasi, Romania.
I have also participated in training sessions at Reuters Foundation London, WNET/Thirteen New York and Centre for Independent Journalism in Bucharest.
And if you REALLY want to know, I have received a BSc (Honours) in Physics (Electronics) in 1995. Pretty cool, no?
