Sulzberger, patron la New York Times, e indiferent in fata viitorului sumbru

“I really don’t know whether we’ll be printing the Times in five years, and you know what? I don’t care either,” he says. “The Internet is a wonderful place to be, and we’re leading there,” he points out.
The New York Times are acum 1.1 milioane de abonati si 1.5 milioane de cititori online in fiecare zi. Cum profitul a mers tot in jos (desi Suzberger nu e Vantu ca sa nu-l intereseze profitul), patronul NYT e sigur ca ziarul sau e pe un drum care se va sfarsi fara editie tiparita.
Costurile vor fi si ele mai mici, pentru ca dupa cum spune Sulzberger, ultima investitie in tehnologie tipografica a costat cam 1 miliard de dolari. Probabil productia web nu costa atat.
